NIIOC winners 2012

Richard Yarr, chair of NIIOC; Chair of the Jury, Thierry Mechler, Professor of Organ and Improvisation in Cologne Musikhochschule and the first winner of the senior category, 18 year old Ben Comeau from Truro Cathedral.

Senior Category Winners: Third Place,  Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, Guildford Cathedral: First Place,  Ben Comeau, Truro Cathedral; Second Place, Benjamin Bloor, St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and Richard Gowers, Eton College, who received a ‘special mention’ from the Jury for his outstanding playing of his grandfather, Patrick Gowers’, Toccata, which is well known in organ circles.
