Jury, Thierry Mechler, Professor of Organ and Improvisation in Cologne Musikhochschule and the first winner of the senior
category, 18 year old Ben Comeau from Truro Cathedral. | Senior Category Winners: Third Place, Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, Guildford Cathedral:
First Place, Ben Comeau, Truro Cathedral; Second Place, Benjamin Bloor, St George’s Chapel,
Windsor, and Richard Gowers, Eton College, who received a ‘special mention’ from the Jury for his outstanding
playing of his grandfather, Patrick Gowers’, Toccata, which is well known in organ circles. | Juror, Colm Carey, Belfast City Organist; Chair of the Jury, Thierry Mechler, Professor of Organ and
Improvisation in Cologne Musikhochschule; the first winner of the senior category, 18 year old Ben
