A balanced
20-minute programme, consisting of at least three pieces and including a major work of JS Bach (or part of). The programme
should also demonstrate stylistic and textural variety, and be of Diploma level.
Previous
winners are not eligible to enter this class.
New Entry Criteria
for the Senior Category:
Due to last year’s high demand, NIIOC is limiting the 2013
Senior Category to 16 competitors. In light of this, competitors are asked to submit a performance CD not exceeding 10 minutes.
It must include a performance of JS Bach and any other work(s) of choice. This CD should be submitted with the Competition
Application form and should have your name and pieces clearly marked on it.
Applicant
CDs will be passed to the NIIOC adjudication panel for shortlisting purposes and those shortlisted will be contacted on Friday
2 August 2013.

NIIOC £100
Travel Bursaries:
This year NIIOC are offering up to three £100 travel
bursaries for competitors outside of the UK and Ireland. Your application will need to be shortlisted in order to be
eligible for one of these awards. To apply, please complete and submit this additional form with your application.
Category Administration:
The Competition Administrator will be in touch with each competitor to allocate practice sessions. They will be assigned
as follows:

category: Please note, you may be allotted rehearsal time on Saturday 17 August (daytime/evening).

Social Events:
NIIOC will host social events for senior competitors
on the evenings of Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August in the Charlemont Arms Hotel.
Senior competitors will also have free admission to the opening concert of the Charles
Wood Summer School, including an organ recital by Mattias Wager (Sunday evening).
Mattias Wager In Residence
NIIOC is delighted that Mattias Wager, international recitalist and organist at Stockhom Cathedral, will act as Chair
of the Competition jury.
Masterclass given by Mattias Wager
Tuesday 20 August at 7pm, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh
Fees: £15 for participants and £5
for observers.

During this 1-hour workshop Mattias Wager will give tips on how to programme a concert effectively,
how to engage audiences and how to present oneself effectively – covering everything from dress to bowing!
